2013 Starz Balroom Showcase, June 8th!
Starz Kidz Summer Dance Camp 2013
Enrollment has begun for the Starz Ballroom Summer Dance Camp for children, Tweens and Teens beginning June 17th, 2013 and running until August 9th, 2013. In this series of classes spanning 8 weeks, several of our high-trained and accredited dance teachers will introduce attendees to the basics of many popular social dances, including Waltz, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Foxtrot and Tango.
It isn’t only that which will be introduced. As any ballroom dance student knows, they also learn posture, balance, poise, get great exercise and they also learn dance and social etiquette as well – some of the many benefits that studying ballroom dance gives its students.
Attendees will be separated into two age groups, 8-12 and 13-17 and there will be two group classes for each age group a week. At the end of the 8-week course, we will end with a dance recital at our August 9th (Friday) open-dance party, at 8:45PM. Classes will be held in the middle to later afternoon, and the exact days will be finalized by the middle of May.
The cost for the entire course (16 group lessons) will be $175 per attendee.

Starz Ballroom has one of the best student programs available today. The instructors will guide through the exciting world of dance so you can learn socially with confidence. Starz Ballroom’s proven technique of combining private lessons with group lessons and practice parties will help you obtain all of your dancing goal.
Private lessons move at your pace, the instructor focuses on your desired dance style demonstrating the basics and fine-tuning your technique. During group lessons, the instructors teach men and women separately, and then bring couples together to practice with or without music. Throughout the class, students rotate partners to improve their leading and following skills. Classes are typically scheduled Monday–Friday and Saturday by appointment. . After students have had time to master some moves, they can show off their new-found skills in dance parties with students of similar abilities. The dance parties set a lively and fun atmosphere to mimic an actual social gathering.
We specialize in wedding choreography for that special day when all eyes are on you. We offer classes for children, public social dance and competition dances. We teach American style, which consists of Rhythm and Smooth dances, International style, which includes Latin and Standard dances and various styles of Salsa, Swing, Westcoast swing, Argentine Tango, Merengue, Hustle, Polka, and many more.
